With over 20 years of experience in creating, recording, and editing sound and electronic music, versatility has become a key-factor in my work: by never turning down an opportunity to learn new techniques, work with different media or musical practices, I'm able to successfully apply my experiences from one field onto another.

Being a creator myself helps me to better understand and work with creations by others and having recorded sound for different kinds of applications helps me in understanding how to properly mix and master it. Of course working for Dutch Public Broadcast since 1997 as both engineer and producer (and even parttime-presenter), makes working for and with media a familiar affair.

My work involves almost every step in the field of music production: from creation to restoration and on many different levels; either lo-fi-no-budget or spic 'n spec 5.1 surround. But to break it down into the most common area's, you can tab into Performances, Productions, Radio and Releases. Where possible, links are provided to more backgrounds about the project and/or the artist(s) or organization(s) involved. A site-based player for audio, -and videocontent is being developed and should be available shortly (4th qtr 2009).


Since 2003 I work with visual artist Iris Honderdos, also my partner in life, on community-based artprojects worldwide. Mostly these projects result in an installation or they involve a performance of some kind. In the Czech Republic we worked with former miners and their wives, both struck in different ways by the downfall of the industry (Kladno 2004). We made an installation during the Orange Revolution in Kiev (Ukraine 2004/2005). In Finland, we worked with the inhabitants of three small cities who are faced with a forced administrative merger (Raseborg, 2008).

Since 2006, we have worked extensively in Vietnam in commission of MCNV with women that are affected or infected by HIV. Troughout the country we have given trainings followed by performances and audiovisual presentations. Our work resulted also in setting up local training-program and the production of an accompanying handbook, based on our trainings.
